Professional Mobile Detailing in the High Desert
Most washes move dirt around. We take it off. That means a pre rinse to lift the loose grit, a foam soak to soften what is left, and then a hand wash with two buckets so the dirt we just removed does not go back onto the panel on the next pass.
Inside, the cabin gets a full vacuum, the dash, console and door cards wiped and dressed, the jambs cleaned, and the glass done streak free. Outside, decontamination pulls out the iron fallout and tar that bond into the clear coat and will not rinse off, because sealing over bonded contamination just locks it in.
The whole thing happens at your house. We bring water, power and everything else.
The benefits of mobile detailing
Two bucket hand wash
Wash mitt goes in one bucket, rinses in the other. It is a small thing that keeps grit off your paint, and it is the difference between a wash that cleans and a wash that adds swirls.
Interior reset
Full vacuum, dash and console wiped and dressed, jambs cleaned and interior glass done. The cabin comes back feeling looked after, not just emptied of crumbs.
Iron and tar removal
Brake dust embeds itself in your clear coat and turns rust colored over time. We dissolve it, then clay whatever is left. Your paint should feel like glass afterwards, not sandpaper.
Wheels, barrels and arches
Wheels get cleaned front and back, including the barrel where the brake dust actually collects. Arches get done too. This is where most quick details stop short.
Protection that lasts
We finish with a sealant that gives you a few months of beading and makes the next wash easier. If you want protection measured in years rather than months, that is a ceramic coating.
Mobile Detailing, explained
Why decontamination matters more than the wash
The wash
- Pre rinse first, to carry off the loose grit before anything touches the paint.
- Foam soak to soften what is left, so it lifts instead of dragging.
- Two buckets: the mitt rinses in one and reloads from the other, so the dirt we just removed does not go back onto the next panel.
- This is where most swirl marks are created, and where they are avoided.
The interior
- Full vacuum: carpets, mats and seats, with the seats run forward and back so the rails get done.
- Dash, console and door cards wiped and dressed, not left sticky.
- Door jambs cleaned, the strip you brush past every time you get in.
- Glass inside and out, left without streaking.
Decontamination
- Iron fallout from brake dust bonds into the clear coat and will not rinse off.
- It is dissolved chemically first, then clayed if anything is still bonded.
- Run your hand over the paint afterwards with a thin bag over it. Smooth means it worked.
- Sealing a car that has not been decontaminated locks the contamination in.
Protection
- A sealant goes on last and gives a few months of beading.
- It makes the next wash faster, because dirt has less to hold onto.
- It is not a coating. If you want protection measured in years, that is ceramic.
- What it will not do is remove swirls or scratches. That is paint correction.

Why decontamination matters more than the wash
Run your hand over your paint after a wash, ideally with a thin plastic bag over it. If it feels rough or gritty, that is bonded contamination, not dirt. Washing again will not shift it.
That roughness is iron particles from brake dust, industrial fallout, tree sap and road tar, all sitting in and on the clear coat. Left there, iron particles oxidize and expand, which is how you end up with tiny rust spots on a car that has never been in an accident.
Decontamination is the step that removes it, and it is why a real exterior detail takes three to four hours instead of forty minutes. It is also why sealing a car that has not been decontaminated is money wasted: you are sealing the contamination in.
A mobile detail cleans, resets and protects. It does not remove swirls, scratches or oxidation, because that needs machine polishing, and heavy interior stain extraction is quoted separately after we see the cabin. If the paint looks dull or hazy in direct sun, paint correction is the service that fixes it.

See the serviceFrequently asked questions
Do you need my water and power?
No. We carry our own water and power, so we can work anywhere in the service area. If you would rather we use yours, that is fine too.
How long does it take?
Three to five hours for most vehicles. Larger SUVs and trucks, or anything that has not been detailed in a while, take longer.
What does it cost?
Quoted per vehicle. Final price depends on the size of the vehicle and the condition it is in, so we quote after seeing photos or the car itself.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we can get to the vehicle, we can work. Plenty of details happen while people are at work.
How often should I have this done?
Every four to eight weeks keeps a car ahead of the desert. If that sounds like something you want on a schedule, the maintenance program is cheaper per visit than booking one off.
Keep it this way
A mobile detail resets the vehicle. What keeps it there is not letting it fall far again: on a schedule, contamination never gets the time it needs to bond, and every visit is quicker than the last.
